The Reiner Stainless Steel Application Template has 2 main functions.

• Precision guide/jig for small and uneven parts
• Engraved portion of each template catches a small ink purge which enhances imprint clarity

The stainless steel application template is a highly recommended accessory for the 1025. We suggest this additional part with every 1025 purchase. The new and improved base plate comes with 4 interchangeable guides that facilitates accuracy on all products. It is especially helpful for small, uneven, flexible, and odd shaped products.

The 1025 has a spitting feature that can be enabled, this is encouraged for all imprints but especially small characters and barcodes. This feature purges a small line of ink prior to every imprint to help with clarity of the print from the very first character. The original 1025 base does not have an ink reservoir to catch the line of ink. Each of the 4 interchangeable templates has a small engraved portion which will catch the ink purge. It is also easily removable to clean the ink off the template with isopropyl alcohol.
