How to Insert the Batteries Correctly

A common beginner learning curve with the Reiner jetStamp 1025 is that you need to close the battery compartment cover with – a double click Sometimes it seems like the battery cover is secure, but the machine is not turning on or not functioning properly. This often has to do with the contacts of the battery compartment closure not being completely closed and activating the battery power.

Please watch the video on how to correctly insert the AA rechargeable batteries and close the battery cover with a double click on your jetStamp 1025!

How to Insert and Remove the Cartridge on the jetStamp 1025

Cartridge Cleaning and Tapping

These cartridges usually need to be shaken, wiped and tapped. This is the main “maintenance” of the unit. See cartridge care instructions attached- quick dry, waterbased and yellow. Squeezing and banging the cartridge too hard can explode the interior bag and cause a lot of leaking and the cartridge to break and be not usable.

  1. Shake the cartridge with the provided clear plastic clip on it- kind of vigorously up and down in a vertical motion for about 10 seconds. You can do this multiple times if necessary. Yellow ink needs to get a good shake before every use- at least 30 seconds usually. The pigments settle and will not print properly without a good shake.
  2. Clean the cartridge with 99% isopropyl alcohol and wipe with provided lint free cloth (ONLY FOR SOLVENT CARTRIDGES NOT WATERBASED).
  3. Try to tap the cartridge as shown in the video below. If you hit it too hard it can rupture the bag inside. You want to get a nice tap to free the nozzles but not bang or smash it down with force. You can also do this multiple times if necessary.

  4. When not in use, we recommend you store the cartridge with the provided clear plastic clip overnight in the orientation specified on the bag the cartridge comes in.

Please watch the video to turn on the spitting functionality on the jetStamp 1025. This option helps with the clarity of your print- especially for the first few characters. If you don’t have the stainless steel template jig base it will spit on the current base- it needs to be cleaned more frequently if you don’t have the additional base accessory.
