Cartridge Care and Troubleshooting

Proper cartridge care is the key to maximizing performance and extending lifespan

Key To Success and Cartridge Longevity:

When you are finished printing, please remove the cartridge from your machine and place it in its plastic holder and back into the foil pouch. This will help maintain the integrity and longevity of the cartridge.

• Identify Your Ink:

1. • Check the SKU on the foil pouch or the label on the cartridge.
   • Match it with one of the SKUs shown on this page.
   • Print a copy and keep it handy to help you properly maintain your cartridges.

• If You’re Having Issues with Your Cartridge:

1. • Follow the cartridge care and troubleshooting instructions provided after identifying your ink.
   • After completing all the recommendations, if the cartridge still isn’t working correctly and is within the warranty period:
     • Click the “Visit Form” button below the Cartridge Warranties section of this webpage to submit a request.

• RMA Form Process:

1. • Contact us to let us know you’re having an issue, the sooner you contact us the better since the cartridges have expiration dates.
   • After emailing or having a conversation with us an AMI representative will let you know if you qualify for a free cartridge and whether or not you should send it back to us for examination.
   • If we require you to send it back: Print a copy of the RMA form and return it with the warrantied cartridge.
   • If troubleshooting restores the cartridge, there’s no need to fill out or submit the RMA form.

• Returning the Cartridge:

1. • An AMI representative may determine that you do not need to return the cartridge and that we can replace it without the return. Always inquire prior to mailing the cartridge back.
   • If a return is required, once we receive the cartridge(s) and confirm that it is defective and under warranty, we will issue a replacement.
   • Important: If we receive a cartridge without the completed RMA form, we will not be able to assess it.

CARTRIDGE WARRANTIES:

Please be aware that cartridges have an expiration date. Once they are opened if they are not stored and cleaned correctly they can have problems. Make sure to always write the date you opened the cartridge on cartridge itself as well as the foil storage package or box. The expiration date is only valid before the product is open. The Reiner factory only warranties them for 30 days once they are opened.
